Uplifting Colossians

When I read one chapter of Colossians, I am filled with  a lot encouragement.   This book gives me a good outlook on life. (flower below is a petunia)

Chapter 1- These four verses  show us what Paul was praying for the Christians  that he knew of, and it applies to us today.  This encourages me!

  1. …”that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”  (verse 9 b)
  2. …”that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work,”…
  3. “Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness”
  4. “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:”

It’s all for us too.  Walking worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, Strengthened with all might… unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness, and being thankful (verse 12) are all things we can pray for for ourselves and other Christians.  Too good to be true, but it is for us, and it is true.
