a convergence of tea time thoughts for ladies

Agnes Grey

In 1847 Anne Bronte had her book published- Agnes Grey.   Agnes is a governess in two different families and  she often gets walked on by the parents of the children and by the pupils she’s there  for.

I picture Agnes Grey riding a carriage and holding the reins of the horses  with a momentum of constant restraint as she does with her emotions throughout the book.

She is consistent.  The man she admires is that way too it seems.  She’s an interesting critter and I enjoyed reading the book.  I think the experiences in the book were her own since she was a governess.  Here she is below in two different portraits.

1820-1849 is when she lived.imageShe died of consumption/tuberculosis  at only 29 yrs old!
