a convergence of tea time thoughts for ladies

This is the last book of the series of All-Of-A Kind-Family by Sydney Taylor.  Type in All of a kind family  in the search tab to the right to get all 5 reviews of each book.  A few of the books took so long to obtain from the library, thus the long wait between reviews.

Here they are in order on this blog:

  1. All of a Kind family/ Oct 10th, 2011
  2. More of all of a kind family/ January 17th, 2012
  3. All of a kind family Uptown/ January 22, 2012
  4. All of a kind family Downtown/ May 1st, 2012
  5. Ella (her big sister) this post.

In 1913 Goo goo clusters were sold and that’s the time period  of this book Ella.  Was this the “Indian bar” that Ella’s boyfriend gave to little Charlie when he first returned from the war?

imageCouldn’t have been  Mr. Good bar  since this one was brought out in 1925.

Ella has a beautiful singing voice  and gets some opportunities  to sing,  but some of  her good fortune may not prove to be the  wisest choice although on the boat an impromptu singing time with the bell boys group  turned out to be  a happy hour.   Read this last book of the All-of-a-kind family  series and see what matters most to Ella.
