a convergence of tea time thoughts for ladies

seedlings and hope for a garden

First time I put my seedlings under a fluorescent light.    The big pots are lettuce and most of  these are heirloom seeds.  The fluorescent lights were in the garage, so we took them down and had someone attach the lights to this black metal sign hanger which has wheels on it.   I got it from the Mobil oil change place a few years ago.  There it was in the trash bin out back, so I put it in the trunk of my car and brought it home.  Used to hang up  shirts and dresses after I ironed them.  So glad I brought this home and put it to use.

These little orange squashes are in the seedling cups too.  Got them from Bakers creek Heirloom seeds and they are called “Golden Delicious” .  Hope they grow!

This guy is 3 1/2  years old, longest living cat we’ve had who has not gotten eaten by coyotes.  He catches mice in the garden.  Doesn’t he blend in well with the carpet?
