jumbo pink banana squash

It’s not ripe yet but here’s my jumbo pink banana squash from Heirloom seeds in Missouri.   It’s overtaking an area of the garden  (to my delight).  Last year it didn’t even germinate, so this year  I’m glad it’s producing.   This second photo is a foot long squash but it has to turn a pinkish light  orange and grow another foot before it’s ready.

Squash is the most practical thing to grow since it keeps all winter.  Next year I’m growing 4 more kinds of squash.
