what we say to each other in the home
A wise woman in Christ she is, Mrs. Sherman is her name. Her articles inspire me and this latest one written is one I will have my son read out-loud. Topics on integrity, truthfulness, the reason for respect in the home and other discussions like this one must be brought up or else we have young people in the home going the ways of the world and sitting in their ignorance on many issues.

This recent article entitled “honoring the home” just struck me as one of those articles for my kids and I to discuss. The first point she made is all I am referring to right now which is: doing right to one another by not showing rudeness. How we treat one another in the home is so important and especially sons honoring their sisters and their Mom in the home. It doesn’t just happen automatically, it has to be taught. These two verses are a good start for everyone at home:
“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” Colossians 3:12,13
