A vision for my son

Plain Path Publishers have helped me go through some good character training for my son over the years and I”m very thankful to them. http://plainpath.org/store/christian manhood Christian Manhood was what we started with a few years ago, a character building curriculum for boys around 6th grade age wise. We took chapter a week, chapter after chapter we plowed through it and not only my son was taught, but I was taught as well as we went through all 45 chapters. Each chapter has the verses on the given topic and is arranged in a simple to understand way. Here are some of the chapter titles:

  • (ch 10) How do you treat the Women in Your Life?,
  • (ch 19) What Do you Words Show about Your Character?
  • ( ch27) Do you show discretion in Your life?
  • (ch 38) How Do you choose your Heroes?

It’s King James Version based too. This year we’re going through the Christian Leadership manual which is similar to the other one.

King Lemuel’s mother had talks with her son in proverbs 31:1-9 .

Proverbs 31: 1-5

“What, my son? And what, the son of my womb? And what, the son of my vows? Give not the strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.”
