Fragrant Pomanders

pomander candleSpicy fragrant pomanders are just the thing to create if you didn’t already make them for the holidays. If you don’t recognize them by that name, just call them—oranges with cloves stuck in them and pretty ribbon wrapped around it. I’m on a pomander craze and will be making them this month, lots of them.

It’s been rainy cold and wintery, just the right time to sit down with all the things you’ll need to make these little round bundles of perfume.

  1. roll the orange in some pumpkin pie spices (lemons and lines work too but oranges work best)

  2. I wrap the ribbon around it first and stick a push pin at the end .

  3. Stick the cloves all over it in a nice design

  4. hang them or set a few in a bowl

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.” psalm 68:4
